In 2023, the urbanization renewal project for Zhenjiang urban section of National Highway G346 and the Jurong section of the Nanjingnan-Taicang High Speed Railway have been completed and put into operation. The upgrading project of Nanjing-Zhenjiang section of National Highway G312 has basically completed the main line. The expansion and transformation project of Jianbi One Line Ship Lock started the construction. The city implemented 134 urban construction projects, newly built and renovated 34 urban roads, and upgraded rural roads by 203 kilometers. 2.8 kilometers of old underground gas pipelines were renovated; 31.1 kilometers of new sewage pipelines were built, 11 kilometers of municipal sewage pipelines were repaired, and urban sewage concentrated treatment rate reached 97%. 11 "Enjoyable Gardens" dynamic spaces were newly built, and 38 sharing urban green spaces were opened, covering an area of 206,000 square meters. Zhenjiang was selected as one of the first batch of cities in China for the pilot project of opening and sharing urban parks and green spaces.

In 2023, the total area of multiple urban green spaces increased by 178.65 hectares, with per capita area of park and green space reaching 15.93 square meters. The forest coverage rate and built-up area greening coverage rate hit 25.6% and 42.5% respectively. The total electricity consumption of the whole society for the year was 30.68 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 2.8% over the previous year, with urban and rural residents' domestic electricity consumption at 3.941 billion kilowatt-hours, a decrease of 7.0%. The city has 8 regional water supply plants with a total water supply capacity of 1.26 million tons per day, of which the urban area's tap water supply capacity is 700,000 tons per day. The total supply of pipeline natural gas in the urban area is 560 million cubic meters, with 348,700 households using natural gas and 109,500 households using liquefied gas. The annual average concentration of PM2.5 at national monitoring sites was 37.1 micrograms per cubic meter, with a good air quality rate of 74.5%. The proportion of Class III water quality at national and provincial monitoring sections of surface water was 100% throughout the year.
