China's promoting new productive forces to unleash greater corporate innovation: Norwegian scholar

China's concentration on new productive forces will increase innovation that occurs in companies, said Carl F. Fey, Professor of Strategy at BI Norwegian Business School, in an exclusive interview with Guangming Online.

Fey noted that it's essential for traditional efficiency-driven companies to increase value addition, especially with the rise of average wages in China. "It's finding things that can increase creativity and drive innovation, and that is what new productive force is," he said.

Hailing China's trajectory of technological innovation, he cited Chinese companies that excel in technology development and application. The scholar also stressed the importance of China embracing its unique, indigenous approach to innovation for sustained success.
